Hawkeye Is Back! (Again)

BRAIN: Pretty pumped to see Hawkeye back. Interested to see how it happens. I'm guessing Wanda brings him back again... New Avengers #26.

Spawn 2

BRAIN: Todd McFarlane says he's writing the next Spawn movie. He will also self-fund and direct it. Who gives a rip? The character blows hard!

Madman Returns

BRAIN: Was anyone like me and wondering what happened to Madman? He is moving to Image. I'm very excited. Madman is one of my favorite comics ever and I'm very happey he's going to be back. They are starting off by releaseing Madman Gargantua that includes every Madman ever.

I'm For Cap

BRAIN: What will the outcome of Civil War be? Marvel has released two covers showing possible conclusions. Sorry, I can't remember exactly what comic it's from or when it's released.

Santa Wolverine

BRAIN: Wolverine comes to kick some ass this Christmas in Wolverine #49. I'm a sucker for Christmas-themed comics. I always get the Marvel and DC Holiday Specials.

Animated Iron Man Trailer

BRAIN: Go to Marvel.com and watch the trailer for the animated Iron Man DVD coming out. Looks like the animation is getting better, but I'm just not sure I'm excited about the subject matter. Iron Man fighting an ancient evil. Zzzzzzz. Leave that stuff for Dr. Strange.

Short, Quick, Down-And-Dirty Reviews

BRAIN: Saw two movies this past week and I'll give thumbs up for both.

CASINO ROYAL. Loved this one. Always been a big Bond fan so I can be easy to please, but this one is good. The best one since... I don't know. That's hard for me to do. The best one in a long time though. Daniel Craig does a great job and I'm looking forward to more. You have to get by the fact that this is his origin basically and he has all of the technology of today. A-

TENACIOUS D in THE PICK OF DESTINY I laughed out loud a bunch of times during this one. Unfortunately, being a fan of their first album, I could see a lot of these jokes coming. Even though the re-hash, I enjoyed it. I secretly wanted to hear some of the old songs in here but I understand why they weren't. B-

She-Hulk

BRAIN: Cool figure from upcoming Marvel Legends series. Hubba-hubba...

Batman figure

BRAIN: After reading Superman Red Son, I really want one of these Batman figures. Good stuff. Read the trade if you are looking for a good DC story. It's a What If kind of story about Superman growing up in the U.S.S.R.

DC Minimates

BRAIN: DC Minimates are back on track. After be bumped a couple of times for what-ever reason, the first series will finally hit the shelves at the end of February. Here are my favorites from their first four sets.

Back In Black

BRAIN: Spidey decks back out on black after the wrap of Civil War and his differences with Iron Man. I'm cool with that. Below is just a cool Hitch cover.

Just Cool Packaging

BRAIN: Check out the cool packaing for the 15th Anniversary Reservoir Dogs DVD. This may be another example of re-buying a DVD I already own. That part sucks.

Spidey 3 Trailer

BRAIN: Let's get ready to geek out. A new Spider-man 3 trailer hits tonight at 10pm accross all of Viacom's holdings; MTV, VH1, BET, Comedy Central, CBS and Spike. It clocks in at 2 1/2 minutes.

First Bond Cip

BRAIN: It's been out a while, but I just watched the first Bond clip released. Wow! It looks like they are back to doing real stunts like old days. I'm bumbed I can't see it on opening night.

Get Your Corporate Zombies

BRAIN: Corporate Zombies available at Archie McPhee. This store has some fun stuff!

Half The Bond Library Out Today

BRAIN: The Bond movies have been repackaged and are being released again today. I heard these were being re-released so I sold my last out-of-prints ones on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Lots of people are pissed because the movies are not in sequential order, but that doesn't really bother me. I'm a fan of all Bond movies good or bad. Well, with the exception of the last two... FYI - I think I found the best price this week. You can get both sets at Circuit City for around $95.

Fantastic Four Shit-Canned?

BRAIN: Cartoon Network has pulled the animated Fantastic Four cartoon from it's updated November schedule. Only seven of the 26 episodes have aired. The Batman will be replaceing it on the schedule. I guess we'll see if it airs on later dates or not at all...

And Now... Marvel Zombie HeroClix

BRAIN: How long can this last? I'm not complaining mind you. I guess it was only a matter of time before the Marvel Zombies attacked the HeroClix relm. They hit with the next expansion called
Supernova. Good luck finding one though. They are in about one out of one hundred packs and currently fetch about $400 each. That sucks.

We Need Another Punisher DVD?

BRAIN: Believe it or not, after all the panning and bad reviews, The Punisher is once again being released on DVD. This time it will have 17 extra minutes. I have to admit, I liked this movie. I didn't love it, but I liked it. I didn't like it enough to get the DVD, but maybe I'll get this one. It also comes with an animated segment that was supposed to start the movie called "The Kuwait Scene."
