ZED: Image comics is publishing Fear Agent, same guy that draws Walking Dead...Tony Moore I think. It's really cool, non-stop action and wisecracking. You'd like it. I picked up the trade of 1-5 that came out this week.
BRAIN: This just looks to good to be true. Onar Films has realest a DVD of the Turkish film called 3 Dev Adam. It's Captain America and El Santo versus Spider-man. I don't think I could have come up with a better line-up if I wrote it myself. I found this on Poptique.
BRAIN: Here are some really cool toys from Flapjack Toys. With how cool this website and products are, I have really high hopes for these guys. I love the choice of music they used for the different pages. Found it on Secret Fun Spot Blog.
BRAIN: Variety reports that the maker of Wife Swap has a new reality show on the horizon. This one stars 80's hunks Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Listen to this. "The Coreys" picks up with Feldman living the comfortable suburban life with his wife Suzie and son, until circumstances bring his old pal Haim back into the picture. Episodes would follow Haim -- single and the total opposite of Feldman -- as he shakes life up for the Feldmans. Ha! Is it my birthday?
BRAIN: I'm pumped. Richard Kiel will be signing at Wizard World Chicago. This guy has been one of my favorites my whole life. I wish they would get more guest like this, maybe Adam West or something. They book Kevin Smith every year and he walks around pretending he doesn't want to be there. That got old three years ago.
BRAIN: Peter Parker comes out of the closet and announces he's Spider-Man in Civil War #2. Man! How are they going to undo this? This pisses me off. It seems the Spidey we knew is truly dead. I'm even pissed at Iron Man for making him do this. How lame am I?
ZED: I don't know if I'm behind the times or what, but have you gone to Wikipedia and searched for specific storylines or characters? It has pretty current, detailed information, you can get lost for hours with all of the crossovers, definitely geeks running rampant, I'm having fun figuring out the Civil War storyline trying to dodge spoilers.
BRAIN: From joblo. Access Hollywood recently spoke to The Great One George Lucas at the American Film Institute's ceremony to honor Sean Connery with a Lifetime Achievement Award and he mentioned being eager to get Connery to reprise his role as Indy's father in the looong-in-development sequel INDIANA JONES 4. According to Lucas, "I would love him to be in the next 'Indiana Jones'…maybe I can push him into it." When asked about how receptive Connery would be to the idea considering he's said he's done with movies, Lucas mentioned "I think he does [want to do it]. We are writing him in whether he wants to do it or not."
BRAIN: Arthur Suydam, The guy did all of the covers for Marvel Zombies is doing a varient for Ultimate Fantastic Four #31. The story is about the Zombie Fantastic Four breaking out of their holding cel and kicking ass in the Baxter Building.
He also drew a poster to be given away at the Heroes Convention in Charlotte.
Also posted is a cool cover to Creeper #1 by Justiniano.
ZED: Bored with my current titles, I've been searching for new comic artists to get excited about, stumbled across this Ironman Extremis story arc. It's awesome and this guy I never heard of Adi Granov digitally paints the covers and every panel inside, nicest stuff I've seen in a while, written by Warren Ellis, I hope they put out a trade.
BRAIN: Hey Zed - Did you know that this was out? I know you've always loved these games. It received an 8.2 at gamespot. ZED: came out today, you know I need this!
BRAIN: Here are some production shots for the made-for-tv movie of Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. from 1998. I've only caught a few minutes of this late one night. If you look around, you can catch it on SciFi once in a while.
BRAIN: Check out the art for the first Marvel Mythos. They are one shots of classic Marvel characters retelling their origan and modernizing it a bit. The art is Paolo Rivera. Zed reported on him in April.
ZED: Exchanged an e-mail with him, he's a friend of one of my designers, working on getting us some custom art from this guy, he's good.
