BRAIN: Peter Parker comes out of the closet and announces he's Spider-Man in Civil War #2. Man! How are they going to undo this? This pisses me off. It seems the Spidey we knew is truly dead. I'm even pissed at Iron Man for making him do this. How lame am I?

Don't really like the idea of dispensing with an important element of that characterisation just to generate hype for a mini-series. (Then again, I stopped reading Spider-man fulltime when they brought back his parents - so what do I know?)
Maybe this is why Spidey flipped out, travelled to Turkey and became a sadistic crim?
